Wazdan enters the Swiss online casino market with Swiss Casinos


Online casino games manufacturer and provider Wazdan celebrated another significant new market launch with the recent launch of a selection of its content in Switzerland.

The studio entered the Swiss market through a partnership with the Swiss operator Swiss Casinos. The deal allowed Wazdan to provide the operator’s iGaming arm, Casino Zürichsee, with access to five of the 15 online slot machines it has certified in the country.

Switzerland revamped its online gambling space in the summer of 2019. Under the country’s revised gambling law, only its land-based casinos are allowed to provide online casino services.

Online gaming content providers are required to obtain certifications from local gaming regulators in order to be able to supply their products to locally approved operators.

Founded in the 1970s, Swiss Casinos is the only fully Swiss-owned gambling company in the country. Its online gaming unit experienced High increase since its launch.

Wazdan’s deal with Swiss Casinos includes the initial launch of its Infinity Hero, Magic Stars 3, Lucky Reels, Great Book of Magic Deluxe and 9 Tigers online slot machines with operator. This is the provider’s first commercial collaboration in Switzerland since 15 of its games were certified in the country in October 2020.

An exciting time

Commenting on their launch in Switzerland, Wazdan Commercial Director Andrzej Hyla said that entering a new market is always “a very exciting moment” and that they are delighted to go and live in Switzerland with a provider of “an exemplary reputation.”

He went on to say that they are very positive about this new offering and look forward to introducing their products to Swiss online casino aficionados.

Switzerland is the latest major market Wazdan has entered in recent months as it seeks to continuously increase its presence.

Earlier this year, the company made its first foray into the US market by launching a selection of its online casino games in New Jersey after receiving a transactional waiver from the State Gaming Enforcement Division.

Not so long ago, it obtained the necessary certification to supply its products in Colombia in a move that spurred its growth in the lucrative Latin American region. The company is additionally certified by regulators in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal and Spain.
