Congratulations are in order for Seattle Chief Kaleena Blisswho was just crowned the winner of Food Network’s “Chopped: Casino Royale” tournament.
Bliss is the executive chef of Thompson Seattle Conversation Kitchen & Bar and their rooftop lounge The Nest. She took on three chefs who won previous qualifying episodes for the $40,000 prize in the “Chopped” finale, which aired Tuesday, Feb. 1 — and emerged victorious.
While there’s sure to be more to come from Bliss in Seattle to commemorate her win, here are two ways to celebrate this month in Thompson Seattle:
- Two desserts from his show-winning dishes will be featured on the menu through February: apple and ricotta donuts and dark chocolate custard.
- In a collaboration/competition with its final competitor, Executive Chef Zoe Schor of Split-Rail in Chicago, each chef will offer a bagel breakfast sandwich (created by the other chef) on their menus through February. $1 from each sandwich will benefit a local mental health charity.
